Ramón Aragüés
CEO
Ramón has a degree in computer science engineering and a PhD in bioinformatics. He started his career as an artificial intelligence consultant, where he learnt to work with both human and artificial minds, without being able to decide which he preferred.
In 2010 he founded BuscoUnViaje.com, a website that lets travellers book the best trips at the best prices organised by the best travel agents. Currently, Ramón is focusing all his energy on TourKnife, where in addition to being CEO he leads Product development. His background in technology and experience working in the tourism sector allow him to determine both the functional needs of tour operators and DMCs using TourKnife, and the best technological solutions to reach those goals. In all the projects he leads, Ramón’s priority is to make technology more 'human', so both travellers and agents can focus on what is really important: the trip itself.
Ramón would love to travel more frequently and for longer periods, but something he has learnt from working in the tourism sector is that it leaves you with very little time to be a tourist.
Nick French
COO
Nick has global experience leading companies and teams to success and has served in executive roles in both start-ups and large multinationals, and worked in Operations, Strategy, Business Development, M&A, Product, and Marketing.
Nick joined TourKnife in 2023 and his mission is to help structure and grow the business in Spain, while preparing it for international expansion.
Sergi Argerich
CTO
Sergi started programming BASIC in an MSX computer at the age of 12. Before going to university Sergi was capable of developing applications in C. During his university years he learned multiple programming languages of all types. He started working as a web developer in a high traffic real estate web portal, doing all full-stack tasks, then became a project leader.
Sergi joined BuscoUnViaje.com as CTO, leading a small team and sharing his knowledge and experience in programming to create and develop the first iterations of TourKnife.
Javier García
CIO
Javier García-García is a biologist and computer scientist with a PhD in biomedicine. Javier enjoys teaching and has been an Associated Professor of Python in the Bioinformatics Master at UPF since 2013. After some years playing with research at the Structural Biology lab at UPF, Javier started a new project at Gameloft as Data Engineer and Data Scientist.
Now Javier is part of the TourKnife team, and his main goal is to contribute to make TourKnife so powerful that in the future all people travelling around the globe will have some link to the TourKnife platform, including bike travellers, which Javi believes is the perfect way to travel.
